Zero Hole, 2012
Using the negative space of the symbol Zero, the wall piece entitled "Zero Hole", ponders the inherent nature and intangibility of absence. Stripping this ultimate symbol of its physical and concrete aspects, the idea behind the number protrude from the realm of language and mathematics into both a more mental and more physical way of perception. A simple black oval painted directly on the wall is the almost-physical footprint of zero that remains when one is no longer present.
